BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Walls is the principal shareholder of the law firm of J.D. Walls & Associates, P.C. His practice is focused on the representation of business and employers in all aspects of employment and business-related law and litigation.

He has extensive experience counseling employers regarding compliance with all types of employment and business-related issues. Mr. Walls has over 10 years of experience in Corporate Management within the Human Resource/Employee Relations functions in businesses with annual revenues exceeding $500M and over 3000 employees throughout the United States. John’s prior experience also includes over a decade of experience in the private and corporate practice of law. Most recently, John served as General Counsel and Senior Director of Human Resources for SM&P Utility Resources, Inc. located in Carmel, Indiana. 

John believes in a hands-on, holistic approach to the practice of law. This means he spends much of his time teaching corporate management and ownership how to avoid litigation, as well as guiding them through the process should it become necessary. John has experience in all areas of business and employment law and in federal, state, local and administrative jurisdictions. He has authored articles on various subjects and has been a frequent trainer, facilitator and guest speaker throughout his career. John is also a fully qualified Civil Mediator in the state of Indiana.

Mr. Walls is a 1995 graduate of the Ohio Northern University of Law where he was a national semi-finalist in the National Administrative Law Moot Court Competition, recipient of the Ohio Northern Labor Law Scholarship and served as law clerk to Federal Magistrate Judge Thomas Carlson in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. He has served on the Board of Directors for the State of Indiana Association of Corporate Counsel and is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association Employment and Labor Law Division.

BIOGRAPHY
Ms. Hartley has over ten years or experience as an attorney. She represents clients in all aspects of family law disputes. These matters include successful litigation experience in Divorce, Adoption, Child Custody, Child Support, Guardianship, and Prenuptial Agreements. Ms. Hartley is also accomplished in the area of bankruptcy law, including Chapters 7 and 13. She provides her clients with thoughtful and efficient representation through difficult financial times. Other areas or practice include real estate and education law. Her prior experience includes twelve years as a public school instructor of adolescent students with special needs and four years as a consultant with the Indiana Department of Education, Division of Special Education. Ms. Hartley is also a certified Civil and Family Mediator in the State of Indiana.

While a student at Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, Ms. Hartley was invited to serve on the Dean’s Tutorial Society. She was also co-chairperson of the Client Counseling Competition. In 1993, Ms. Hartley served as an intern for U. S. District Court Magistrate John P. Godich. Ms. Hartley is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association.
